During the years Sugarbear was in preschool I was blessed to become friends with an amazing group of mommies. I love them. And although all of our kids have gone to different schools for the past 2 years, we have managed to stay in touch and get together every once in a while for a MNO (Mommies’ Night Out).
Our most recent MNO was to a really fun new place that teaches you how to create a beautiful painting in a very laid-back atmosphere, all while munching something yummy and sipping your favorite beverage.
Each event comes with all the materials you need, as well as an instructor that walks you through the painting step-by-step. Our painting for the evening was a peacock, which I thought would be perfect for Emily’s bedroom.
The instructor stopped midway through the evening so that we could use the restrooms, refresh our drinks, and to step back and look at our work. Usually everyone just refreshes their drinks (my favorite is pink champagne) and compare paintings.
Then it’s back to work!
At the end of the night everyone ends up with their own interpretation of the painting. All unique, and all beautiful!
This one is a bit more true to the colors we used.
And here it is hanging in Sugarbear’s room. I must admit, I’m pretty proud of this one!
